Landfall #2 – in Porto!

July 27, 2012
Just a quick note to say that we arrived safely!  Our marina is lovely – they gave us some Portuguese soap, told us that we will have fresh bread in the mornings when we are here, and have helped us arrange travel back to Madrid tomorrow, so that we can see our girls as soon as possible!
More soon.  We’re pretty woozy, as we had no sleep last night, between playing frogger in the shipping lanes, some excitement with our shaft seal that entailed bailing water out of the bilge, and then dodging fishing vessels moving unpredictably in the dark.
Our first order of business, now that we have figured out how to get back to Madrid to our dogs, is to decide which port winery we’ll head to this evening!
