The Final Countdown!

June 27, 2012

It’s almost the end of June and that means we are shoving off in less than a week.  The original goal was to leave Annapolis Tuesday evening, BUT Chris has been in Annapolis since last Tuesday and she has been working so hard and been so successful at getting our long, long list of to do items checked off, that it looks like we might be able to make an early departure.  The only critical items left are installing the solar panel and Chris is working on that right now.  Then when I arrive Saturday we need to add two more reef lines and a boom preventer.  Everything else is a nice to have and we still have several days to knock out a few more things, buy some food, stow everything securely and we are on our way!

The lovely handrails that Chris installed. They will also serve a nice support for the 140W solar panel that will stretch across the dodger on SS crossbeams.

It looks like it is going to be another scorcher in Annapolis this weekend.  Luckily Chris found the fans that we really like at Fawcett’s and she’ll be installing those in the next day or two to keep things cool at night.

So far so good.

Tick tock, tick tock.
