The last Van Isle 360? Of course, we’re here!

June 2, 2023

We just arrived yesterday in Nanaimo for the start of the 2023 Van Isle 360 – the race organizers say it will be the last running, and while we certainly hope that isn’t true…we weren’t going to miss the race if it is. We’ll be racing for the next two weeks around Vancouver Island. We are the only doublehanded boat, but we will have 3 other J/111’s on the line, and plenty of other quick, well-sailed boats!

We left Orcas yesterday morning and motored the 60-ish or so miles in bright sunshine and light air, through Dodd Narrows.

Our updates to the blog will often be delayed because of wifi/cell access as we go further north – we’ll try to update as we can! We can sometimes provide updates more quickly on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home&_ps=1
